Dr Tom Jose Kakkanattu was trained at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS- New Delhi) and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER Chandigarh), India’s two top most medical institutes, for both MD (General Medicine) and DM (Nephrology). He did his MBBS from Gov. Medical College Trissur. He is a European board certified nephrologist by completing the European Speciality Examination in Nephrology (UK) conducted by the Royal college of Physicians- London and ERA-EDTA. He is also a member of royal college of physicians (MRCP-UK). He is working as Consultant Nephrologist, Renal Transplant Physician and Asst. Medical Director at KIMS Sreechand hospital since 2021. He also has Opd at Amala multispeciality hospital Iritty, Indira Gandhi Cooperative hospital Thalassery, and manages Angel Dialyisis centres Karuvanchal and Iritty. His fields of interest are Renal Transplantation and Critical care and Interventional Nephrology.
